A great time, and a great cause – that is what attendees of Pull! For The Arc walked away with on September 28 as the event came to a close. The sun came out, and provided a beautiful day for shooting clays on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, and raising money for The Arc Central Chesapeake Region.
Supporting the event were a variety of the Eastern Shore’s best food and beverage artisans. From start to finish, guests enjoyed some of the best the shore has to offer: breakfast from The High Spot Gastropub, coffee by Rise Up Coffee Roasters, complimentary rum tastings from Lyon Distilling, wine from Great Shoals, craft beer from G&G Distributers, oyster shooters Phillips Wharf and George’s Mixes, and a great barbeque lunch from Blue Heron Catering.
The second annual Pull! For The Arc Clay Shoot Classic raised over $28,000 to support The Arc in its mission of promoting respect, creating opportunities, facilitating services, and advocating for equal rights for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“We are very grateful for the support we have received for Pull! For The Arc, and are proud to announce that we more than doubled what was raised last year,” said Jonathon Rondeau, CEO of The Arc Central Chesapeake Region. “All proceeds benefit The Arc so that we can provide the people we serve with appropriate resources and supports that allow them to make decisions about their own lives, voice their thoughts on issues related to their well-being, and be fully included in all aspects of society. We are thankful to all our corporate sponsors and the 100+ attendees who came out on September 28 to support us.”
Winners of the tournament walked away with prizes generously donated from Lyon Distilling, Great Shoals, St. Michael’s Bistro, The Harbor Inn, The Chesapeake Bay Beach Resort, Phillips Wharf, The Point at Pintail and Comcast Spotlight.
