Five Giants of Romantic Music
February 27, March 12, March 26, and April 9 • 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The museum is welcoming back the dynamic presenter, Dr. Rachel Franklin. Her course takes a unique look not only at the music of these five great composers – Mendelssohn, Schumann, Chopin, Liszt, and Wagner – but also at the fascinating way in which their paths intertwined, both socially and artistically. All were born within five years of one another, between the years 1809-1813.
March 27 • 6 p.m.
Steve Ziger, Partner, Ziger/Snead of Baltimore Lecture Architecture for the Arts
Steve Ziger is a partner at the Top-50 US Architects firm of Ziger/Snead, which serves as the architect for the AAM’s new Courtyard Entrance and Gallery Renovations.
