Children’s Art Day
September 22, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Looking for a fun, educational way to spend time with the kids or grandkids? Then don’t miss “Children’s Art Day” in St. Michaels on Saturday, September 22 from 9 a.m. to noon. The event takes place on the lawn of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, located at 304 South Talbot Street in St. Michaels.
The event is free and open to all children in grades Kindergarten to eighth grade. The St. Michaels Art League (SMAL) supplies all materials needed: acrylic paints, panels, brushes, easels, etc. SMAL members will be on hand to assist and guide the budding artists. Old clothes are suggested.
This year, the Fishmobile, a traveling aquarium from Phillips Wharf Environmental Center, will be on hand. Children can tour the Fishmobile to learn about Bay creatures and perhaps be inspired to paint them.
This program is funded in part by a grant from the Talbot County Arts Council with revenues provided by the Maryland State Arts Council. Supplies donated by Ben Franklin Craft Store in Easton. For more information, visit smartleague.org or contact Joan Cranor at email@example.com.
