Noted Artists in Four Local Shows

September 6, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

South Street Art Gallery in Easton has an impressive lineup of artists who will exhibit their work in a series of solo exhibitions starting in September and continuing through November.

Steve Rogers, a Lewes, Delaware-based painter in acrylics will display his lifelong love of boats and the maritime traditions of the Eastern Shore from September 7 through September 21. Steve’s knowledge of boat building and of the historic working boats of the Chesapeake is evident in the detailed and accurate depictions he paints. There will be an Artist’s Reception on September 6 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Opening September 21 and running through September 30, the show “He’s Back!” celebrates the return to Easton of Santa Fe-based artist Louis Escobedo. The former owner of Gallery 717 in Easton will exhibit landscapes and still lifes in his colorful and masterful – and often whimsical –

style that has earned Louis a devoted following. There will be an Artist’s Reception on September 21 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Lani Browning, a popular Centreville painter, will exhibit her landscapes and floral paintings in a show entitled “Seasons” opening October 5 and continuing through October 28. Lani’s love of nature and gardening is evident in her beautiful depictions of the natural world through the different seasons.

Noted watercolorist and oil painter Stewart White will exhibit plein air and studio paintings from his travels in the U.S. and abroad. “Off the Beaten Path: Paintings from My Travels” will include paintings from Stewart’s recent journeys to Spain, France and Ireland among other exotic locales. The show opens November 2 and runs through November 25.

All exhibitions will have an opening reception from 5 to 8 p.m. For additional information contact South Street Art Gallery at 410-598-1666 or visit southstreetartgallery.com.
