Indulge your senses at Chocolat, a decadent evening to benefit the Caroline Culinary Arts Center. Guests will be treated to heavy hors d’oeuvres, local oysters, live stations, chocolate-inspired cocktails, beer, wine, decadent desserts, s’mores bar and more. Menu highlights include cocoa seared filet, a macaroni and cheese bar, shrimp cocktail, seared scallops, local cheese and charcuterie. Must be 21 to attend. Soup and Walk

Adkins Arboretum, 12610 Eveland Road, Ridgely

Look for green plants that seek the winter sun and trees with telltale bark on Adkins Arboretum’s Soup and Walk. Plants of interest include mosses, cranefly orchid, magnolia and holly leaves, and the green stems of strawberry bush and greenbrier. Following a guided walk with a docent naturalist, enjoy a delicious and nutritious lunch along with a brief lesson about nutrition. Copies of recipes are provided. Call 410-634-2847.

Daddy-Daughter Sweetheart Dance

Fretterd Community Center, 107 South Fourth Street, Denton

Escort your princess to a special evening full of smiles, dancing, and fun. Dads and daughters ages three to 12 years will enjoy dancing, refreshments, souvenir photos and great music. Mosaics for Beginners

Blue Jean Ball

Pull out your favorite jeans or anything denim and come out to the annual Blue Jean Ball hosted by the Caroline County Humane Society and help save the lives of hundreds of animals in Caroline County. This year, the Blue(s) Jean Ball will feature live music with the Blues DeVille Band. Tickets for the event are $45 through February 29 and $50 starting March 1.
