Wye Grist Mill Grinding Day

Saturday, June 3 and 17 • 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

900 Wye Mills Road, Wye Mills

The mill is open through mid-November. Grinding Days are the first and third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Millers demonstrate the traditional stone grinding process. The Wye Grist Mill has been nearly continuously grinding grain since 1682 and produced flour that fed George Washington’s Continental army during the American Revolutionary War. Wings and Wheels for Sight

Historic Stevensville comes alive on First Saturday as historic sites will be open for touring. Witness Paint Stevensville as artists will be painting at various locations across Stevensville from morning and well into the evening to capture “nocturnal” pieces. The Quick Draw Competition will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Watch artists race against the clock to create a piece of art. From 2 to 3:30 p.m. there will be an “Off The Easel” sale near Rustico’s Restaurant & Wine Bar and a Wet Paint Sale will occur at KIFA.
