The Kent County Fair is a traditional county fair featuring agriculture education, 4-H exhibits, great food and so much more. New exhibits, games, attractions and vendors are added each year. There is something to do for everyone. Highlights include great music each evening, the greased pig contest, the 4-H auctions, corn hole tournament, youth turkey calling contest and animal exhibits. The fairgrounds is a former US Army Nike facility with barracks, guard shack and the base office, which also serves as the Fair office, still in place. Tour The Shore Kayak Series

ShoreRivers invites the public to join them for its annual Tour the Shore series. The theme is serene, paddling quiet creeks and rivers across the Mid Shore region. Tour the Shore has been a valuable paddling program that allows ShoreRivers to introduce residents and visitors to our local rivers while sharing its mission of clean water for all. Paddle the serene Sassafras as the sun sets and the full moon rises. Gather on the sandy shores for a BYO picnic dinner ahead of time. Paddlers may bring their own kayaks or rent one.
