Has the building on the corner of Washington and Goldsborough Streets in Easton caught anyone’s eye recently? The historic building has been many things over the years, from a hardware store, to a coffee shop, to a pizza place, but who is this new neighbor and what services do they offer our community?

Sullivan Surgery and Spa, located at 1 Goldsborough Street, is an extension of its main location in Annapolis. By opening this second office, Dr. Kelly Sullivan is able to consult with potential patients from the Eastern Shore while eliminating a drive across the bridge. She is also able to offer Eastern Shore residents injections, fillers, and medical grade skin care treatments.
Extensive education, training, experience, engineering precision, artistic talent and a genuine empathy for her patients…These factors set Dr. Kelly Sullivan and her staff at Sullivan Surgery & Spa apart from other plastic and reconstructive surgeons. As a team of compassionate women who understand the desire to look and feel better, everyone at Sullivan Surgery & Spa cares about their clients, listens carefully to understand goals and then works to help achieve the changes that are envisioned. Together, Kelly and her staff provide the care, comfort and world-class results that make them the Faces of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
Kelly states, “Our patients trust us to make the best decision for their medical and surgical plan and then carry out those procedures with technical expertise while also caring for the whole patient throughout the healing process. The art and science of medicine goes well beyond deciding which filler to inject or how much fat to remove. It involves understanding how, why, and when to operate, and then knowing how to do it in a way that promotes the health and well-being of the patient. Above all, we keep our patients safe and uphold the oath of ‘do no harm.’ ” Board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is the hallmark of a safe, skilled, and ethical plastic surgeon.
Since her early school days, Kelly knew she wanted to become a doctor. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School. She completed her general surgical residency and plastic and reconstructive fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta. Kelly is certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons. Kelly also believes strongly in community service and is the founder and president of Wellness House of Annapolis, a nonprofit that provides support services to cancer patients and their loved ones, free of charge, in a clubhouse environment.
In 2003, Dr. Kelly Sullivan opened her Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery practice in Annapolis and immediately obtained her board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2004. Subsequently, she became a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. She also joined the courtesy faculty at Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery where she volunteers her time to work with the plastic surgery residents. After much searching for the right location, she opened up the beautiful office and Medical Spa on Goldsborough Street, in Easton, last summer.
She says, “I have developed a practice with a special interest in breast surgery, cancer reconstruction, body contouring, and aesthetic facial surgery. I spend time with my patients, listening to their desires and creating a medical and surgical plan that will safely and effectively meet their goals. I believe strongly in maintaining board certification and I therefore stay involved with continuing medical education and case evaluations through the ASPS and the ABPS.”
Along with the privilege of being a plastic surgeon comes a great responsibility. Kelly is grateful to the American Board of Plastic Surgery for creating guidelines that keep patients safe and remind doctors of the very important oath taken to become physicians: “…May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help.”
