With the help of its sponsors, the Queen Anne’s County Tourism Office and the Maryland State Arts Council, the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council (QACAC) presents its free summer concert series for 2018. Get ready to rock out with friends and family at some of the best local venues with some of our finest local acts. Concerts are on certain Thursdays beginning at 7 p.m. on June 7 and run through August 23. All concerts are free, but donations are always welcome. Bring blankets and chairs and maybe a picnic, too. Grab your cowboy hat and get started with a taste of country with the Chesapeake Sons at Hemingway’s. Local favorites Chesapeake Sons will bring a taste of country to the waterfront lawn on Pier 1 Road in Stevensville. With deep roots here on the Shore, they will deliver a well-paced energetic show with a variety of material that will appeal to everyone.

Get your flip flops on and experience the Chris Sacks Band at Cascia Winery, located at 1200 Thompson Creek Road in Stevensville. Come and enjoy a creative blend of breezy Country Beach Rock, Americana and folk with influences of Jimmy Buffett, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, and Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers.

Experience the high energy of Wheelhouse, an emerging local band, at the Chesapeake Exploration Center on Piney Narrows Road in Chester. With an ever-growing catalog of great music spanning four decades, there is sure to be something on their playlist for everyone.

Keri Anthony will be playing catchy acoustic rock tunes with a soulful edge from the 70s and 80s at Cascia Winery in Stevensville. Keri can capture an audience with her timeless vocals and haunting guitar work.

August 2

Dell Foxx Company, formed in 2014, is a favorite cover band performing songs from artists like Alabama Shakes, Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Grand Funk Railroad, Florence and the Machine, and many more. This energetic group will perform at the Court House Square on Lawyers Row in Centreville.

Get ready for an evening of dancing with Philip Duton & The Alligators at Hemingway’s. Experience the high energy of this emerging local band. The Alligators play a broad variety of music from or about Louisiana and New Orleans with the goal of spreading this great music around the Eastern Shore and beyond.
