Oxford Artists’ Studio Tour 2018

September 4, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The fourth annual Oxford Artists’ Studio Tour will take place on Sunday, September 4 from noon to 4 p.m. featuring at least a dozen studios and gardens highlighting some of Oxford’s best artists. This year the event will benefit the John Wesley Church and The Oxford Museum. This is a rain or shine event. Maps and tickets, which cost $5, are available only at the Treasure Chest, beginning on August 15 and continuing until the day of the tour. The Treasure Chest is located at 111 South Morris Street in Oxford.

The Oxford Museum preserves and displays Oxford’s nearly 350 years of colonial and American history and maintains a collection of more that 2,500 artifacts and memorabilia. The collection represents the evolution of Oxford, from one of the country’s earliest colonial port through the modern era, and its status as a premier sailing destination. The John Wesley Methodist Episcopal Church in Oxford once served as an important place of worship and gathering for generations of Talbot County African-Americans. The church was an abolitionist and integrated church community in a county that was slave-holding since 1770.
