The Tidewater Camera Club is pleased to present Photographer, Mark Goldman on Monday, February 5th, 2018 from 7 to 9 PM in the Talbot County Community Center’s Wye Oak Room. In his seminar entitled “Sports Photography”, Mark will discuss various workflow considerations of taking pictures at sports events including the tools needed and how to make images from conception to print, as well as technical aspects including lens choice, manual shooting vs program, shutter priority or aperture priority. Time permitting, Mark will field questions on shooting specific sports (indoors and outdoors), and what it takes to become a photojournalist. The Public is encouraged to attend.
Mark Goldman has been a photojournalist specializing in Sports for over 35 years covering a wide range of sporting events and portraiture in the D.C. and Baltimore areas. His work includes coverage of all of the major professional and collegiate teams in the area. Mark is currently the chief photographer for Orioles Kids Magazine, a regional publication, focused on the Baltimore Orioles. He has shot all but one cover since April 2002. He is currently stringing for UPI and the European Pressphoto Agency (epa). His work has been published in a wide variety of publications including The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Time Magazine, Good Morning America, Sports Illustrated, Sports Illustrated for Kids, ESPN Magazine, ESPN on line, Sports Illustrated online, New York Times Magazine and Red Bull.
