Save the Date for “A Garden of Quilts”

June 2, 2017 - June 4, 2017

$10

Bayside Quilters of the Eastern Shore has again chosen the historic, seaport town of Oxford for its bi-annual quilt show, “A Garden of Quilts.” Save the date for the weekend of Friday, June 2 through Sunday, June 4.

The show hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 2 and June 3 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 4. The main event will be held in the Oxford Community Center, with antique quilts displayed in both the John Wesley Methodist Episcopal Church of Oxford Neck, on the corner of Oxford and Evergreen roads, and St. Paul’s Church, located on South Morris Street. New this year will be a Vendors’ Mall in the Oxford Fire Hall on Oxford Road. Parking is available and all locations are handicap accessible.

Bayside Quilters of the Eastern Shore, Inc. is a quilt guild with about 180 members that meet the second Wednesday of each month at the Easton Fire House in Easton. The guild’s members are committed to the creation, study and sharing of quilts and quilt making. Outreach programs are an important part of the guild’s activities and many organizations have received donated quilts, pillows, receiving blankets and other items of comfort from the guild.

“A Garden of Quilts” will feature beautiful displays of artistic quilts made by the talented quilters of the Eastern Shore, an Appraisal Service by well known quilt expert Phyllis Hatcher, a display of Antique Quilts and a Vendor Mall location, including booths from many quilt shops and local artisans. Items for sale to the general public will include quilts, quilt supplies, artisan wares and boutique items made by Bayside Quilters of the Eastern Shore, Inc.

Admission is $10 for all four locations and tickets will be available at the front door of the Oxford Community Center. More information is available at www.baysidequilters.org.
