Bridging Art and Science at Polaris Village Academy

Polaris Village Academy and artist Catherine Renzi proudly announce a special event that brings together art, science, and community curiosity about the cosmos. The program features an art exhibition, a reception, and a visual presentation by Dr. Matt Greenhouse, NASA Astrophysicist Emeritus.

The exhibition will showcase approximately twelve of Renzi’s oil paintings, alongside original artwork created by Polaris Village Academy students during collaborative workshops inspired by space telescope imagery, celestial objects, and night‑sky observation.  Renzi’s paintings are available for purchase.

A public reception will be held Tuesday, October 27, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Polaris Village Academy in Easton, where guests can meet the artists and enjoy refreshments. At 5:00 p.m., Dr. Greenhouse will present “The James Webb Space Telescope Mission,” an engaging talk designed for learners and sky‑watchers of all ages.

The event is open to all community members, but RSVP is kindly requested. Please email jredman@polarisvillage.org if you plan to attend.

This event is supported in part by a Creativity grant from the Maryland State Arts Council.
