Oxford Museum Announces 2026 Douglas Hanks Jr. Preservation Award Recipients

Established in 2006 by the Museum and Doug’s widow, Xan, the award honors Douglas Hanks Jr., one of the town’s most energetic lifelong supporters until his death in 2003. It recognizes extraordinary efforts by individuals or organizations to preserve the unique history of Oxford and the surrounding area through restoration and renovation projects, outstanding preservation service, stewardship, or lifetime contribution. Nominations are submitted by the public and evaluated by a Museum committee.
