On the Cover – August 2026

Nanny Trippe

“At Rest” is an image taken by local fine art photographer Nanny Trippe taken during a walkabout with a group of friends.

Always on the lookout for a solid image, this photograph encompasses the elements of composition that Trippe  hopes to achieve-a balance of light, texture, shadow and form.

Nanny’s CV: Nanny has studied and created photographs through high school at St. Timothy’s School in Baltimore, college at Denison University in Ohio and Richmond College in London, England.

Her photo #2 Door won the Best Black and White, Best Amateur and Best in Show in the 2009 Plein Air Easton Photography Contest and is published in the “Best of Photography 2010” by Photographer’s Forum Magazine. Subsequent photographs have been published in “Best of Photography” annually to date. In 2013 her image “Available Seating” won the Tidewater Camera Club Award for Excellence in Photography at the Academy Art Museum Annual Member Show. In 2019 her image “Ascent” earned the award. In 2026, her image “Passages” won the award for Bets Interior. She has been juried into several shows at The Maryland Federation of Art, Maryland Hall, and Black Box Gallery among others. In 2016, she had a solo show “Trees:Majesty and Mystery” at The Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland. In 2013, she opened The Trippe Gallery in the heart of historic Easton, representing over 40 award winning artists in oil, watercolor, etching, graphite, multimedia and sculpture as well as her own fine art photography. She is a many generations native of the Eastern Shore and has a true love for the area and capturing its uniqueness and vanishing landscapes.
