Three-Part Series Offers Practical Guidance on Estate Planning, Roth IRAs and Legacy Giving
OXFORD, MD — The Oxford Community Center (OCC), in partnership with AFG Wealth, will present Financial Wellness Wednesdays, a free three-part educational series designed to help individuals and families make more informed decisions about their financial futures.
Held on three Wednesdays this fall at 5:30 p.m. at the Oxford Community Center, the series is free and open to the public. Each one-hour program will focus on a different financial planning topic, with knowledgeable professionals offering practical information and answering questions.
“Most of us spend a lifetime earning, saving and planning for the people we care about, but we don’t always take the time to ask whether we’re making the right financial decisions,” said Capt. Brett M. Sause, CEO and Wealth Advisor with AFG Wealth. “Financial Wellness Wednesdays is an opportunity to change that. It’s free, it’s educational, and it’s open to everyone.”
Wednesday, October 14 — Estate Planning Basics
Attorneys Marianna Batie, Esq., Law Office of Marianna Batie, and Tara K. Frame, Esq., Frame & Frame Attorneys at Law, will discuss the essential documents and decisions that can help protect you, your family and your legacy. Topics will include wills, trusts, powers of attorney, beneficiaries and other estate-planning fundamentals.
Wednesday, November 18 — To Roth or Not to Roth?
Capt. Brett M. Sause, AIF®, CFF®, CLTC®, FSCP®, LACP, LTCP, LUTCF®, CEO and Wealth Advisor with AFG Wealth, will explore Roth IRAs and Roth conversions. The program will address contributions, income and contribution limits, tax considerations and circumstances in which a Roth strategy may—or may not—make sense.
Wednesday, December 2 — Legacy Planning
Pamela Leonard, CAP®, CFRE, CGPP, National Executive Lead, Charitable Estate Planning for the American Heart Association, will explore ways to incorporate charitable giving into a broader estate plan. Topics will include charitable gift annuities, donor-advised funds and coordinating charitable intentions with other legacy-planning goals.
The series is intended to make important financial topics approachable and accessible, whether attendees are actively planning for retirement, reviewing an estate plan, considering charitable giving or simply want to become better informed.
Come with questions. Leave better informed. Bring a friend.
All three programs begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Oxford Community Center in Oxford, Maryland. Admission is free and the programs are open to the public.
